TAC Tiles

Description

Mainly used as a path indicator, tactiles are also used as an anti-slip mechanism on pathways. Stainless steel tactiles are much more resilient and low maintenance as compare to other materials and can be coloured into a variety of colours. Stainless steel tactiles can be provided with carborundum which provide added anti slip properties in demanding conditions where aesthetic properties also play a strong role such as boat decks.

Uses:

  • Boarder Indicator – where the traditional guidance given by a standard footway between the property line and carriageway does not exist.
  • Guidance Against Obstacle – where pedestrians need to be guided around obstacles.
  • Focal Points – where a number of visually impaired people need to find a specific location and in transport terminals to guide between facilities.
